30 Days of Healthier Me.

I decided that although I am fairly healthy I am going to commit to being better and I’m going to take the next 30 days to do so and hopefully it will breed new habits which will ultimate benefit me much more than my current way of doing things.  Here’s a few of the things I am going to focus on.

Decrease calorie consumption.  No more fast food, no more candy, no more chips, no more beef.
- Protein will come from Fish and Chicken (occasionally peanut butter and nuts)
- More fruits and vegatibles (All ready started this, going to press on)
- More water, juice and tea.  Absolutely no Pop (not even with subway if I get any) (or soda for you weirdos)
- Increased physical readiness training, more than my manditory 3 days per week.  At least 20 minutes cardio Monday-Friday.  More consistent ab workouts, more weight training.
- Less TV, more reading.  It my current rate it takes me about 3 weeks to finish a book, also doesn’t help I read 2-3 at a time.
- Less internet.  Alas, my daily blog updates, skype usage, and e-mail will probably be the extent of my usage
- Less video games (Wii permissible on the weekend or during tedious MOP exercises)
- More time doing brainy stuff like foreign languages, soduku,  guitar – things that engage my mind more so than the normal post work routines.
- Increase effectiveness of my communications.
- Possibly shell out the money to do my transcendental meditation course here in Korea.
- Complete some more college credits towards my bachelor’s degree.

Well… it’s a pretty long list but I’m going to work more and more on it every day.

- Ryan
