I’ve been here in Pensacola for a week, so far so good. The weather is nice and in lieu of being at a Navy base it is rather gorgeous here either way. It’s a nice change of scenery from New York still. I found out I am to be stationed in Korea once I finish up all of my training, which also means that aside from my training here I’ll need to go to Arizona for a while for additional training prior to leaving for Korea. Korea is a year long assignment, I’ve some mixed feelings about it but some of the pros include being able to tack four more ribbons onto my chest 2 of which will be medals – a manditory month vacation after 6 months of service there and last and probably most important, the ability to pick my next duty station. Hawaii anyone? Heck yes. Not much else new to report, I look forward to reaching Phase 2 so I can at least leave base in my blues despite them being uncomfortable as heck. That’s all I have for now.
