Beware of Marysville Veterinary Hospital!!!

I’m writing this to warn pet owners in and around Marysville not to use this vet.  They do not see your animal as part of your family but rather, a pile of money with a tail.

My dog recently contracted parvovirus and was very ill and near death.  They provided a very expensive quote to hospitalize her and was not willing to work out any type of payment plan – demanding payment in full then on the spot if we hospitalized her.  Due to personal reasons I did not have the money readily available and could not afford it.  Our second option (the one we took) – was home care, which was grossly inadequate.  For 3 days I gave my brave puppy an IV of fluids and 2 shots per IV, her condition continued to get worse to the point where she was near death.  Grief stricken, we decided to do the only humane thing for our angel of a puppy and have her put to sleep.  This is where the predator jumped in and decided it was their opportunity to make profit.  As my wife and I were crying over losing our puppy they presented us with a “solution” – a staff member would adopt her and provide her treatment.  This was all the information I had, and being very upset for my dog I signed their paper.  They took this paper as free reign to “help” our dog, by giving her treatment that should have been given to us the first time when we took her home – and then when she was better, the adopter turned around and is now in the process of selling her.  We never were told that this would happen and we also were promised they would keep in touch with us to let us know what was going on.  When I tried to confront them they immediately claimed my wife and I were harassing them.  They are not willing to sell our dog back or return her because it is somehow our fault she contracted this virus, when we bought her we were told she had her vaccinations.  The week she contracted parvo was the week she was supposed to get her next shot.  They also said that because we wanted to put her down we were not a good home.  We only thought about that after days of trying to cure our dog with their inferior medicines they provided us and watching our dog continue to lose weight and get weaker and sicker.  When we called to ask about putting her to sleep they said they were willing to do it because she was very sick.  We paid $150,00 for it, which they also took from us without returning.

This vet is a nightmare!  Please, do not go there – for your pet’s sake, and your peace of mind and your financial state.  They absolutely do not care about your pet.

I am currently working on filing a case against them with a lawyer but am letting all residents know about this to prevent themselves from this same grief.

Be well pet owners.

My puppy battling parvo, my Wii is a casualty.

Zelda is my 2 month old border collie puppy, when I bought her I was told that she had her initial shots… well unfortunately it appears to be a lie as she is now battling with Parvo. Parvo is a very dangerous virus that can be fatal to young puppies. Zelda was going to get what was supposed to be her “Second” shot this week some time, looks like its too late. My wife and I have to administer an IV under her skin twice a day and inject her with an antibiotic as well as a medicine to make her less nauseous. We’re hoping that she pulls through… at this time we’re unsure what will happen.

Ironically, she very tiredly walked into the corner and urinated on my Wii. She actually managed to pee into the game slot which impressed me. This picture is the aftermath… Either she thinks Wii sucks, or she wants me to realize how good it is because it may not work anymore.  I am lucky it wasn’t the XBox, I don’t want to be the first guy to get 3 yellow rings and Microsoft say I’m on my own!

Cooking with Haemin, coming this fall…

Listen to Game Seers!

Game Seers: Episode XXVIII

This week Ryan, Aaron, Jeff and Joe run with the show.  Ryan finally gets his hands on a game again (XBox 360/Wii), Jeff loves Madworld (Wii), Aaron is making a glock in Little Big Planet (PS3) and Joe is into Skate 2 (XBox 360).  Ryan and Aaron were watching the Watchmen, neither was overly impressed with the flick though – some spoilers here so be careful!  The guys also talk movies, skateboarding, fat girls, hacking and bailouts.

Where are you in the world?

I'm still, still alive.

Seems like a long time has gone by since I last wrote anything here.  I am kept pretty busy by a wife, 2 dogs and a baby on the way… not to mention moving and just reporting to a new assignment.  My wife and I saw our baby for the first time today, looks like we’re about 6 weeks into this… so far, things seem to be going well.  If all goes well in 7.5 months we’ll be welcoming a whole new human being into this world and into our family.  There are tons of thoughts and feelings flying around but we continue to do our best.

Hi America, its me… Ryan

I’m back!   After a year in Korea I have finally planted my feet firmly on American soil and it feels good :)   Along with that I now have a gorgeous companion – so aside from spending obscene amounts of money, life is good.

Where did everyone go?

I admit I’ve been lazy for the past few months and just now got around to checking my stats for the first time since October and all I can say is whooooooa.   I went from having around 200 hits a day to 20.  I’m not sure how that happened, it is crazy.  Maybe lack of actual updates has helped lead to this downfall of such a glorious blog.  Perhaps it is a bit narcissistic to own your name as a domain name, but I don’t really care.  Maybe I’m not that interesting.  At least not anymore, now that all the life has been sucked out of me by a certain employer.  I cannot wait to leave this assignment, I love Korea but when I go to work I am extremely stressed and anxious and I hate it.  I’m no boy scout, I just do my job.  Ass kissing never has been my style and it never will be so people will have to just accept it.  Anyway, I leave here January 21st god willing even though its nearly 3 weeks later than I wanted.  I’ll just be happy to watch the place shrink from the window of the plane.  I would write more but I suppose I should go to sleep considering I need to wake up at 4AM since I work a lovely 5am to 5pm shift.

Ron Paul is awesome!

Dear Ryan:

Thank you for taking the time to contact my office with your kind and supportive words. It is reassuring and encouraging to hear from those, such as yourself, who understand the issues and the positive impact of a pro-freedom philosophy.

Such active citizen participation, as the founders well understood, is absolutely vital to our form of government and to the preservation of the liberty they entrusted to us.

As I serve in the 110th Congress, rest assured that I shall continue to take very seriously my oath to uphold the Constitution of limited federal powers and work to make ours the freest, and hence most prosperous and tranquil society in the history of mankind.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to communicate your thoughts. I always appreciate hearing from those to whom power is vested by our Constitution, “the People of the United States.”

Sincerely,

Ron Paul
